Security Officer

Bedford, commutable from: Kettering, Cambridge, Northampton, Luton, Milton Keynes

£30,000-£35,000 + Shift Allowance + Private Health Insurance + 26 Days Holiday (+ BH) + Pension + 3 on 3 off

Excellent opportunity for an experienced Security Officer to join a highly specialised organisation, working within a unique, world-class facility where you'll play a key role in protecting people, property and critical assets.

On offer is a varied position where you will be responsible for maintaining the security of a technically advanced site, working as part of a professional team to ensure the safety of employees, visitors and contractors while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the business.

This company operates one of the only facilities in the world that specialises in its niche field. They are now looking for a dedicated Security Officer to join their team and play an important role in maintaining a safe and secure working environment.

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role include carrying out site patrols, controlling access to the facility, monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, responding to incidents and maintaining accurate security records.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid SIA Licence and have previous experience within a security role. Strong communication skills, a professional approach and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential. Candidates must hold a British Passport and be able to pass Security Clearance.

The Role:

• Site patrols and access control
• Monitoring CCTV and security systems
• Responding to alarms, incidents and emergencies
• Completing security reports and maintaining records
• Monday to Sunday, rotating shift pattern (38 hours per week)

The Person:

• Valid SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervisor Licence
• Ex forces and Ex public services encouraged to apply.
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Able to work shifts
• Must hold a British Passport and be able to pass Security Clearance
