Job Description:

1st Line Support Engineer

Our client is recruiting for a 1st Line Support Engineer to join a busy IT team supporting users across the business. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong customer service skills and previous IT support experience who us looking to further develop their technical knowledge in a varied, hands-on role.

You'll act as a key point of contact for end users, providing day-to-day support across a range of technologies while working closely with the wider IT team to ensure systems remain reliable, secure and effective.

What We're Looking For

• Deliver first-line technical support to users across the business.
• Log, troubleshoot and resolve IT issues relating to hardware, software and business applications.
• Support users both remotely and onsite, ensuring a high level of customer service.
• Escalate more complex incidents where required whilst maintaining ownership of tickets.
• Assist with device setup, deployment and user onboarding activities.
• Work collaboratively with the wider IT team to maintain stable and efficient IT services.
• Contribute to documentation, system improvements and IT best practices.

Experience Required

• Previous experience in a 1st Line Support, IT Support Technician or Service Desk role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience troubleshooting desktops, laptops, mobile devices and peripherals.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in a structured manner.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to support.
