Job Description:

Role: 3.5T Van Driver - Secure Collection & Manual Handling Role
Location: Newbridge, EH28 8TP
Salary: £29,891.86 + £250 Quarterly Bonus
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 45 hours (No Weekends or Night Shifts) 
Contract type: Permanent
 
This isn't your typical driving role. As a 3.5T Van Driver - Secure Collections Operative, you'll combine professional driving with hands-on collections work, collecting confidential materials from customer sites and transporting them securely for destruction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Driving a 3.5T vehicle and completing planned collection routes
• Collecting confidential documents, paper waste, IT equipment, WEEE, DMR and secure materials
• Loading, moving and handling collection bags and containers as part of your daily duties
• Working across customer sites, which may involve walking between collection points and using stair access
• Using a PDA to record collections and customer information
• Completing vehicle checks and reporting defects
• Providing excellent customer service and acting as a professional company representative
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of customer materials

About you:
 

• Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)
• Someone who enjoys a manual handling and hands-on role (Essential)
• Reliable, organised and safety-conscious
• Great communication and customer service skills (Essential)
• Able to work independently and manage daily routes effectively (Essential)
• Committed to maintaining high standards of security and confidentiality (Essential)

Please note: This is an active role that includes regular lifting and moving of collection sacks and containers throughout the working day. Training and equipment will be provided to support safe manual handling practices.
