Account Manager | Ophthalmic Lenses | Northern Ireland & North Republic of Ireland

Zest Optical is working in partnership with a leading global ophthalmic lens manufacturer to recruit an ambitious and commercially driven Account Manager to cover Northern Ireland and the North of the Republic of Ireland.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected international optics business with a strong reputation for innovation, technology and premium ophthalmic lens solutions.

Working closely with independent optical practices across the territory, you'll be responsible for developing existing customer relationships while proactively identifying and securing new business opportunities.

Taking a consultative, partnership-led approach, you'll work with practice owners and key decision-makers to understand their businesses, identify commercial opportunities and deliver solutions that support long-term growth for both the customer and the organisation.

Account Manager - Role & Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a portfolio of independent optical accounts across Northern Ireland and the North of the Republic of Ireland.
• Identify, prospect and secure new business opportunities throughout the territory.
• Build strong, long-term relationships with practice owners and key decision-makers.
• Drive revenue growth across both new and existing customer accounts.
• Take a consultative approach to understanding individual customer requirements and commercial objectives.
• Analyse account and territory performance to identify opportunities for further growth.
• Use customer and market data to develop commercially focused solutions.
• Provide customers with insight and support to help develop their businesses.
• Act as the key point of contact for customers across the territory.
• Develop a strong understanding of the local optical market, competitor activity and emerging opportunities.

Account Manager - Requirements

• A qualified Dispensing Optician and/or proven optical sales professional with a strong track record of achieving KPIs and delivering commercial growth.
• Experience managing and developing existing customer accounts alongside winning new business.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the optical industry.
• Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional qualification.
• Strong commercial awareness with an analytical approach to territory and account management.
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
• Full driving licence.
