Account Manager
Salary: £45,000-£53,000 + Pool car + bonus
Location: Sheffield

Responsibilities of an Account Manager:
- Grow revenue across existing accounts while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- Travel to see customers across the UK and Europe to meet clients and represent the business at industry exhibitions and events. (about once every 2 months
- Build strong client relationships, supporting long-term account growth and uncovering additional commercial opportunities.
- Prepare tailored proposals and quotations by reviewing customer requirements and pricing details.
- Regularly meet with existing and prospective customers, while also supporting colleagues during client visits and presentations.
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager on territory planning, customer engagement strategies, and stock planning requirements.
- Keep CRM records up to date to track customer activity, pipeline progress, market trends, and future opportunities.
- Manage the quotation and order process accurately, ensuring all associated documentation is completed correctly.
- Share insights on competitor activity, market trends, pricing movements, and potential growth areas with the wider team.
- Assist with sales forecasting and provide additional support to the Sales Manager where required.
- Support and encourage colleagues to help drive team performance and achieve collective objectives.
Requirements on an Account Manager:
- Previous experience within metals, engineering, industrial, or manufacturing sectors would be highly beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strong customer relationships and grow revenue across both existing and new accounts.
- Confident building long-term business partnerships, with a personable approach and willingness to travel to meet clients.
- Eager to take the next step in their career, with the ambition to develop leadership and people management skills.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative sales environment and enjoys working towards targets and shared goals.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a customer-first approach and focus on relationship management.

- Additional language skills would be advantageous, particularly French or German, although not essential.
