You will be joining a well-established and growing manufacturing business in Accrington with a strong presence in its sector. The company operates in a fast-paced environment, with a collaborative finance team that plays a key role in supporting day-to-day operations and overall business performance.

This role is being offered on a 6-9 month temporary basis, with a strong possibility of extension, making it ideal for someone who can quickly step in and make an impact.

Your new role

This position will primarily focus on general finance support, with responsibilities across transactional finance and month-end processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Raising and processing sales invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Managing customer accounts and resolving invoice queries
• Allocating incoming payments and reconciling accounts
• Maintaining and reconciling intercompany balances
• Assisting with month-end processes, including reconciliations and reporting
• Supporting wider finance tasks, including journals and ad-hoc reporting
• Responding to internal and external queries professionally and efficiently
• Contributing to process improvements within the finance function

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience in a Finance Assistant / Accounts Receivable or similar role
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Confident communicator with good organisational skills
• Experience using ERP systems
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office
• A flexible and proactive approach

What you'll get in return

• 3 days per week (Wednesday-Friday)
• 9 hours on Wednesday & Thursday. 4 hours on Friday
• £29,000 pro rata
• 6-9 month temporary contract and potential for extension
