After School Club Supervisor – Hersham, Surrey
Location: Hersham, Surrey
Pay: £17.00 per hour
Start: September
Hours: Part-Time | Term Time

Starfyn Recruitment is looking for an experienced After School Club Supervisor to join a busy childcare provision in Hersham, Surrey, from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong childcare experience who is confident leading a team and overseeing a large provision of approximately 50 children.

Working Hours
Morning Club:
Monday–Friday | 7:45am–8:45am
After School Club:
Monday–Thursday | 3:00pm–6:00pm

The Role As Club Supervisor, you will take responsibility for the safe and effective running of the provision, working alongside and managing a team of approximately 4–5 members of staff.

Responsibilities will include:

• Supervising a busy provision of approximately 50 children
• Leading, supporting and coordinating a team of 4–5 staff
• Ensuring appropriate staff deployment and supervision
• Creating a safe, positive and engaging environment for children
• Planning and overseeing age-appropriate activities
• Supporting children's play, development and wellbeing
• Managing behaviour positively and consistently
• Maintaining safeguarding and health & safety standards
• Ensuring appropriate registers, records and documentation are maintained
• Communicating effectively with parents, carers and school staff
• Supporting the provision in meeting relevant Ofsted requirements
• Ensuring children are safely collected and handed over to authorised adults
• Taking overall responsibility for the smooth running of each session

What We're Looking For We are particularly interested in candidates who have:

• Previous childcare or education experience
• Experience supervising or leading a childcare provision
• Confidence managing a large group of children
• Previous experience managing or supervising other members of staff
• Good knowledge of Ofsted requirements
• A Level 3 Childcare qualification, teaching qualification/status, or equivalent is highly desirable
• First Aid training
• An appropriate DBS
• Strong safeguarding knowledge
• Excellent organisation and communication skills
• A calm, confident and approachable personality

Previous experience as an After School Club Supervisor, Wraparound Care Manager, Nursery Room Leader, Deputy Nursery Manager, HLTA, Teacher or similar childcare leadership role would be particularly relevant.
