Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic/Fitter/Technician to join our maintenance team. In this hands-on role, you will carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, fault diagnosis and repairs to ensure aircraft remain safe, compliant and serviceable. Working hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 4.30pm with occasional opportunities for overtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform aircraft maintenance in accordance with approved procedures and regulations.
- Perform fault finding, repairs and component replacement in accordance with approved maintenance data and company procedures.
- Perform both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance whilst always prioritising safety and regulatory compliance.
- Contributing to the effective day-to-day operation.
- Ensure maintenance activities are executed efficiently and on time.
- Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of maintenance facilities and equipment.
- Check, repair, and modify mechanical, electrical and electronic aircraft components and systems.
- Complete maintenance documentation.
- Support with conducting audits.
- You must comply with health, safety, environmental and sustainability rules and regulations.
Requirements/ Qualification:
- UK CAA or EASA Part-66 Cat A licence, or progress toward licence application (desirable).
- NVQ Level 3 completed in a recognised engineering qualification or the equivalent experience.
- Previous aircraft maintenance experience desirable.
- Strong understanding of aircraft mechanical systems, maintenance practices and technical documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, task cards and engineering instructions.
- Ability to complete tasks within defined timescales.
- You must be able to work professionally and responsibly on your own and as part of a team.
- You must be an excellent team player and communicator.
- You must possess excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- Full UK driving licence (desirable).
