Applications Engineer (Electrical Discharge Machining)

£40,000 - £45,000 + 50K OTE + Progression + Company Car + Training + Bonus + Door To Door Pay

Are you an Applications Engineer looking for the next step in your career, working on bespoke Makino CNC machines for a thriving multinational business, providing excellent in-house training on EDM, where you will become the go to technical expert?

As an EDM Applications Engineer, you will be the go-to technical specialist for Makino machines, highly regarded as the best in the CNC industry. You will be integral for customer training, delivering turnkey solutions, performing test cuts and demos, liaising closely with the sales team throughout the process. This will be an office and field role focusing heavily on pre and post sales of Makino machines.

Recognised as the number one industry leader in the training and development of their Engineers, this machine tool distributor prides themselves as market leaders in their field and are looking to increase their arsenal of machinery and solidify their position in the market. They have accelerated to become the sole supplier of globally renowned Okuma and Makino machine tools.

This role would suit an Applications Engineer who is looking to become an expert in EDM, for a company that will provide excellent training on bespoke CNC machines.

The Role:

• Conducting customer training on machine programming, operation and maintenance
• Delivering turnkey solutions to customers
• Performing test cuts, demos and exhibitions
• 60/40 split between office work and visits to customer sites. Company car provided
• Mon-Fri, 8am-4pm, 37.5 hours per week. Overtime available
