The business supplies kitchens and bathrooms through a range of channels, including distributors, merchants, independent retailers and into contracts via new-build developers and renovators etc

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager with a strong background within the KBB, merchant or interiors sector.

The successful candidate will have the autonomy to manage their own diary, appointments and territory, using their industry knowledge and commercial experience to identify new opportunities and develop long-term customer relationships.

You will be responsible for winning new accounts while also developing existing customers, ensuring a high level of service and supporting the business through continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities across the allocated territory.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with independent retailers, merchants, distributors and developers.
• Grow existing accounts through regular contact, account development and proactive sales activity.
• Manage your own diary, appointments and territory effectively.
• Identify opportunities to introduce additional products and services to existing customers.
• Conduct regular customer visits, presentations and product demonstrations where appropriate.
• Monitor market activity, competitor activity and emerging opportunities.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure orders are processed and delivered accurately and on time.
• Maintain accurate customer records and provide regular sales updates.
• Achieve agreed sales and growth targets.

Requirements / Skills

• Proven experience in an Area Sales Manager, Field Sales or Business Development role.
• Strong knowledge of the KBB, kitchen, bathroom, merchant, interiors or related industry.
• A proven track record of winning new business and developing existing accounts.
• Commercially minded with excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
• A genuine desire to grow a territory and make a measurable contribution to the success of the business.
• Full UK driving licence.
