Job Description:

I am pleased to present a new opportunity for a successful Area Sales Manager to join a leading Material Handling Equipment Company based in Essex.
The role is to sell all material handling equipment including new and used trucks, rentals, and aftermarket, to businesses in post codes: E/CM/RM/IG/SS. Managing your own diary, the Area Sales Manager will have the autonomy to maximise business opportunities whilst ensuring service levels are maintained.

The Area Sales Manager will have a B2B Sales background, most desirably in the MHE industry with a strong ability to build relationships, influence, and provide solutions.

Other similar industries will be considered such as Agricultural, Engineering, Industrial, Hire, Plant, Automotive, and Heavy Goods

Key responsibilities of the Area Sales Manager:

• Identify and promote all product including new trucks, short term rental, operator training, and used trucks within the Essex post codes.
• Develop strategies to secure and win profitable business.
• Further develop business opportunities with existing customers
• Hit volume targets, market share and coverage of the Essex post codes
• Day to day planning of prospecting in line with the required levels of sales activity
• Undertake site surveys, produce accurate quotes and present to the customer providing solutions
• Attend and actively participate in regular sales meetings as part of a highly motivated and successful team.

Key requirements of the Area Sales Manager:

• MHE industry experience or similar; Agricultural, Engineering, Industrial, Hire, Plant, Automotive, and Heavy Goods.
• Direct B2B sales experience, ideally capital equipment.
• Knowledge of storage and logistics systems.
• Commercially minded with the drive to maximise results.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
• Fully enjoy the selling experience and travelling visiting clients.
• Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
