Salary: c£45,000-£50,000 basic plus competitive package including car allowance,  pension, performance bonus, and employee rewards.

An established East Anglian based main contractor operating across multiple sectors including Commercial, Retail, Residential, Mixed-Use, and Healthcare are currently recruiting for a talented Assistant Contracts Manager to join their growing Construction Management team due to an increase in secured projects.

Our client has an excellent reputation in the main contracting market, holding key positions on leading frameworks and maintaining a busy pipeline of work into 2027.

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work alongside Senior Contracts Managers to help oversee 2 projects simultaneously.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with the oversight of on-site delivery teams (Project Managers and Site Managers) across multiple live developments.

• Working closely with the pre-construction team during tender and award stages, helping transition projects smoothly into delivery.

• Supporting the day-to-day management of planning, design processes, and contract administration through to project completion.

• Acting as a key point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and site teams.

• Promoting high standards of Health & Safety, quality control, and schedule adherence across all active sites.

Desirable Experience

• Experience working as an Assistant Project Manager, or Site Manager for a Top 100 Main Contractor.

• Skill set to include Planning (ASTA PowerProject) and Design Management with an understanding of contract administration .

• Exposure to 2-stage procurement projects is advantageous.

Qualifications & Skills

• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or an equivalent higher qualification.

• CSCS Card.
