Location: Letchworth Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm Holiday: 28 days inclusive of bank holidays Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Working Pattern: Office-based / On-site

The Opportunity

Interaction Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for an established and highly regarded estate agency based in Letchworth, who are looking for an experienced Assistant Property Manager to join their growing lettings and property management team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous property management or estate agency experience who is looking to develop their career within a professional, customer-focused business with an excellent reputation.

You will work closely with the Property Manager and wider lettings team, supporting the smooth day-to-day management of a portfolio of residential properties and ensuring landlords and tenants receive a consistently high level of service.

The Role

As Assistant Property Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Property Manager with the day-to-day management of residential properties.
• Handling tenant enquiries professionally and efficiently.
• Assisting with property check-ins and check-outs.
• Arranging maintenance, repairs and contractor visits.
• Liaising with landlords, tenants and contractors to ensure issues are resolved promptly.
• Maintaining accurate property records and documentation.
• Preparing inspection reports and following up on outstanding issues.
• Supporting the Lettings Manager with renewals and rent reviews.
• Ensuring relevant property management and lettings procedures are followed.
• Supporting compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.
• Providing a high level of customer service through regular face-to-face, telephone and email communication.
• Carrying out property visits and inspections when required.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience within property management, estate agency or a similar customer-facing role (essential).
• Strong knowledge of residential lettings and property management processes.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to deal confidently with tenants and landlords.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a busy environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A professional, approachable and solutions-focused attitude.
• Good knowledge of property-related regulations, or a willingness to learn.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office, email, spreadsheets and property/CRM systems.
• The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a wider team.
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport for property visits and inspections.
