Job Description:

Location: Morpeth, Northumberland
Position: Assistant Site Manager
Contract: Freelance
Start Date: 7th of September
Duration: Three Weeks Cover
Rate: £26 per hour CIS

We are currently looking for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a busy care home development in Morpeth on a freelance basis.

Working closely with the Site Manager, you will support the day-to-day management of the project, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

• Supporting the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the site.
• Coordinating subcontractors and site operatives across multiple trades.
• Monitoring progress and ensuring works remain on programme.
• Carrying out regular site inspections and ensuring a high standard of workmanship.
• Assisting with health & safety compliance and maintaining site standards.
• Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and the wider project team.
• Assisting with site documentation, RAMS, permits and quality records.
• Identifying and reporting any issues that could affect programme, quality or safety.
• Maintaining a professional and organised site environment.

• Previous experience working as an Assistant Site Manager or similar.
• Experience within care homes, residential, commercial or similar construction projects.
• Strong understanding of health & safety and site procedures.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors effectively.
• Relevant site qualifications, including SMSTS/SSSTS and CSCS.
• A proactive approach and ability to work as part of a wider site team.
