Assistant Site Manager

New build developer is looking for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join the team and contribute towards the delivery of a brand new development in County Durham. The right candidate will be responsible for working alongside the Site Manager managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, to a high standard and with minimal disruption to residents. The successful candidate must have strong new build housing experience and be confident managing subcontractors, operatives and customers.

The RoleTake overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site.
Manage subcontractors, trades and site operatives to ensure productivity and quality.
Ensure all works comply with current health & safety legislation, company procedures and site requirements.
Monitor programme, progress and quality, taking action to address delays or issues.
Coordinate materials, labour, plant and deliveries.
Carry out regular site inspections and maintain high standards of workmanship.
Maintain accurate site records, including site diaries, progress reports and health & safety documentation.
Identify and resolve site issues promptly and effectively.
Ensure projects are delivered within budget and to the required specification.
Attend progress meetings and provide regular updates on site performance.
Proven experience as a Manager within new build housing is essential
Strong knowledge of construction health & safety requirements.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
The ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors effectively.
A strong understanding of construction programmes, quality control and site documentation.
A professional and proactive approach to problem-solving.
The confidence to communicate effectively with residents, clients and senior management.
Relevant Site Management qualifications, such as SMSTS, and a valid CSCS card, First Aid.
Remuneration
£40,000 to £45,000 per annum together with a comprehensive benefits package.
