Automatic Door Engineer
Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 per annum (DOE) + Overtime + Excellent Benefits
Location: Hampshire & Dorset (Field-Based)

Are you an experienced Automatic Door Engineer looking for a role with a growing, well-established business that genuinely values its engineers?
We're recruiting for a skilled engineer to cover Hampshire and Dorset, with a particular focus on candidates based around Southampton and Bournemouth. As the engineering team continues to grow, there is a strong commitment to keeping engineers working within their local areas wherever possible.
The Role
You'll be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of automatic and pedestrian door systems across commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, retail, and public sector sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, maintain and repair automatic and pedestrian door systems.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits.
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently.
- Perform routine inspections to ensure equipment remains safe and compliant.
- Complete all job documentation accurately using company systems.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service while representing the business professionally.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Health & Safety regulations.
About You
- Minimum 2 years' experience working with automatic door systems (installation and/or maintenance).
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Able to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Desirable:
- Electrical qualifications.
- Experience with access control systems.
- CSCS Card (or willingness to obtain one).
