The Role
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN
Support learning, communication, and daily routines
Manage and respond to challenging behaviour confidently
Help pupils develop independence, confidence, and life skills
Work closely with teachers and multidisciplinary teams
Support personal care and wellbeing where required
You will play a key role in helping pupils feel safe, engaged, and able to reach their full potential.
Requirements
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (essential)
Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or above (essential)
Strong behaviour management skills
A patient, resilient, and proactive approach
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Ideal Background
SEN Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant
Support Worker with children or young people
Experience with ASD, SLD or PMLD is highly desirable
Additional Requirements
Right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
Minimum of two professional references
Location
Based in Pilning, Bristol, with good access from Bristol, South Gloucestershire and Newport, Gwent.
