Bid Writer - Main Contractor | Birmingham | £50,000-£70,000 (flexible for the right person)

The Opportunity

• Join a well-established main contractor with a strong pipeline of work across the Midlands and South
• Work on a mix of public and private sector bids across construction and frameworks
• Take ownership of end-to-end bid production - from PQQs to final submissions
• Collaborate with pre-construction, commercial and operational teams

What You'll Be Doing

• Write, edit and manage high-quality bid and tender submissions
• Interpret client requirements and translate them into clear, persuasive responses
• Lead bid programmes and coordinate inputs across teams
• Improve and maintain a strong bid library and content bank
• Ensure submissions are compliant, structured and tailored to each client
• Support continuous improvement of bid processes and win strategy

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Bid Writer within construction or a main contractor environment
• Strong understanding of public sector frameworks and tender processes
• Excellent written English - clear, concise and engaging
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines under pressure
• Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills
• High attention to detail and commercial awareness
