Blockchain, Forensics & Data Intelligence specialist - Bermuda - tax free 

We are working with a highly regarded financial services regulator  to appoint a Blockchain, Forensics & Data Intelligence specialist within its FinTech supervision function.

This is a senior technical role focused on developing and strengthening the organisation’s capabilities across blockchain forensics, AI, advanced analytics, data intelligence and supervisory technology (SupTech).

In this role, you  will help transform complex on-chain, off-chain and supervisory data into actionable intelligence, supporting the effective regulation and supervision of digital assets, payments, InsurTech and other technology-enabled financial services.

Day to day, you will :

• Analyse on-chain, off-chain and supervisory data to identify patterns, anomalies, emerging risks and potential regulatory concerns
• Develop and implement AI-enabled analytics, predictive models, risk indicators and early-warning tools
• Design and maintain blockchain forensics and data intelligence tools, dashboards and analytical workflows
• Generate intelligence to support supervisory assessments, thematic reviews and regulatory interventions
• Integrate blockchain analytics, AI and advanced data capabilities into supervisory processes and methodologies
• Translate complex technical findings into clear recommendations and intelligence for senior and non-technical stakeholders
• Evaluate and support the implementation of third-party blockchain analytics, forensic, RegTech and SupTech platforms
• Develop internal standards and best practices across blockchain forensics, AI and data intelligence
• Contribute to cross-functional and international projects relating to digital assets, financial innovation and emerging regulatory risks
• Support internal knowledge-sharing and capability building across blockchain analytics, data science and supervisory technology

About you

You will bring a strong technical and analytical background combined with an understanding of how data can be used to support risk assessment and decision-making.

You should have:

• A Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering or another quantitative discipline
• Around 10+ years’ relevant experience across data analytics, data science, blockchain analysis, financial intelligence or a related technical field
• Experience gained within financial services, FinTech, RegTech, regulatory, financial crime or law-enforcement environments would be particularly relevant
• Strong experience working with large and complex datasets and building analytical models, metrics or risk indicators
• Proficiency with tools such as Python, SQL, R and data visualisation/dashboarding platforms
• Experience analysing blockchain/DLT data, including transaction flows, wallet behaviour and network activity, would be highly advantageous
• Strong knowledge or practical exposure to blockchain analytics and forensic platforms
• Excellent analytical judgement and attention to detail
• The ability to explain complex technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
