We are recruiting for an experience BMS & OT Engineer to take technical responsibility for the operation, resilience and performance of Building Management and Control Systems across a portfolio of prestigious critical properties in London.
This is a technically focused role working across a critical, multi-site environment. You will provide hands-on BMS engineering support while working closely with site engineering teams, specialist BMS contractors, IT and network teams and client stakeholders.
The role covers BMS servers, supervisory software, controllers, field networks, integration gateways and connected building systems with a particular focus on maintaining system reliability, performance and operational resilience.
This is not a pure IT or cyber security position. It is a hands-on BMS and controls engineering role with additional responsibility for system resilience, secure accesss and operational technology.
Key Responsibilities

The role will involve commissioning, testing and tuning BMS systems, including control strategies, alarms, trends and system performance.
You will manage BMS lifecycle activities such as software upgrades, controller replacements, server and workstation upgrades and platform migrations.
You will also oversee the technical quality of BMS works delivered by external contractors, reviewing proposals, designs, implementation plans and commissioning documentation.
A key part of the role will be maintaining accurate system documentation, including network diagrams, controller drawings, asset registers, configuration records and system baselines.
You will work alongside IT and network teams to support BMS connectivity, integration and appropriate network segmentation, including systems connected to plant such as chillers, UPS systems, generators, meters and lighting controls.
The role will also involve supporting system backups, recovery processes, secure configuration, user access management and controlled remote access for specialist vendors.
You will ensure appropriate change control is followed for BMS works, including technical review, testing, rollback planning and documentation.
About You
We are looking for a hands-on BMS Engineer or BMS Systems Engineer with strong experience working on live operational buildings.
You must have demonstrable experience working with Schneider BMS systems. This is an essential requirement for the position.
You should be comfortable diagnosing faults, commissioning systems and optimising BMS performance, rather than simply managing BMS contractors.
Experience working across a multi-site commercial, critical or technically complex environment would be highly advantageous.
You will need strong troubleshooting skills and an organised approach to documentation, configuration management and technical change.
Essential Experience & Qualifications
Candidates should have:
Experience with other BMS platforms such as Trend, Siemens, Honeywell or Tridium Niagara would be advantageous.
