BMS Service Engineer Opportunity - Leading M&E Contractor - Commercial Fit Out
MK Search are working with a leading M&E Contractor who are looking to recruit a BMS Engineer to join their growing BMS Division, working alongside a highly experienced team of engineers. This role is ideal for a BMS Engineer with experience in BMS servicing, commissioning, and small works, who is confident working independently and enjoys variety across multiple sites and projects.
The Role
As a BMS Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, commissioning, fault finding, and small works across a range of BMS systems. You’ll work closely with the Service Manager to develop software strategies and support project delivery on small to medium-sized projects.
Working hours are generally 7am–4pm, with flexibility to suit business needs. Any agreed overtime will be paid in line with company policy.
Key Responsibilities
Commissioning of small BMS systems
Fault finding, diagnostics, and reactive works
Point-to-point testing
Developing and implementing BMS software strategies
Working on multiple small to medium-sized projects
Graphics modification and updates
Calibration of sensors and valve actuators
Liaising with clients and site managers
Use of protocols including Modbus, BACnet, and Lon
Systems worked on include Tridium, Trend, Centraline, Distech
Key Requirements
Strong understanding of HVAC systems
Strong understanding of BMS strategy and pre-commissioning
High-level experience with Tridium, Trend, and Centraline
Knowledge of controls automation equipment (e.g. VFDs)
Basic knowledge of relevant controls and automation standards (desirable)
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
