Job Description:

Nelson Recruitment are currently recruiting for a permanent Brake Press Setter on behalf of their manufacturing client based in West Bromwich. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to join a well-established manufacturing business on a rotating shift pattern.

Pay & Hours

• Hourly Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
• Shift Allowance: 22% for rotating shifts
• Shift Pattern (Rotating):
  • Week 1: 6:00am – 2:00pm
  • Week 2: 2:00pm – 10:00pm

What You’ll Do

• Set and operate Brake Press machines
• Adjust tooling and machine settings to meet production requirements
• Produce parts to the required production rates and report any issues affecting output
• Ensure components meet quality standards and specifications
• Read and work from engineering drawings
• Maintain accurate production and quality records
• Carry out quality checks on finished parts
• Ensure good 5S standards are maintained in the work area
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures at all times
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You Bring

• Previous experience as a Brake Press Setter / Operator
• Ability to set machines and adjust tooling independently
• Experience reading engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• A proactive and reliable approach to work
