Business Development Executive- Sudbury, Suffolk

This is an exciting relationship-focused role, working with designers, developers, landscapers and other property professionals to introduce them to the clients’ products and develop long-term referral partnerships.

Your job is simple: build relationships with professionals who influence projects, get the client specified and create opportunities for our products to be incorporated into their schemes.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within our client. The role will initially be a temporary position for up to 12 weeks and for the right candidate will go permanent!

About the Role:

This is a full-time role, you will be working, Monday – Friday 9-5pm. Pay rate is £14-15.00 per hour plus incentives.

Key Duties will include:

• Developing a network of active referral partners who regularly introduce and specify our clients products within their projects
• Explaining the commercial incentives available for successful referrals
• Understanding upcoming schemes and identifying opportunities for external products
• Providing product, technical and specification support throughout the design process
• Conducting virtual meetings and presentations via Teams
• Proactively following up opportunities and managing your own pipeline
• Keeping partners informed throughout their referred projects, including maintaining project status information through our online portal
• Building long-term relationships that generate repeat specifications and referrals 

Requirements:

• Confident, personable and naturally good at building relationships
• Comfortable speaking with architects, designers, developers and other professionals
• A strong communicator and presenter
• Commercially aware and able to identify opportunities
• Proactive, motivated and comfortable developing new relationships
• Organised and capable of managing multiple contacts, projects and follow-ups
• Keen to develop genuine technical and product expertise
• Motivated by developing relationships that turn into long-term commercial partnerships
