Business Development Manager

Location: Livingston, West Lothian
Salary: £55,000 per annum
Benefits: Car Allowance, Fuel Card, 28 Days Holiday, Hybrid Working

The Role

We are looking for an ambitious and driven Business Development Manager to support the continued growth of a successful construction business across Scotland.

This is a key role focused on developing new business, strengthening existing client relationships and identifying opportunities to secure future projects across both the public and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
• Identify and generate new business opportunities across Scotland.
• Promote the company's construction services to public and private sector clients.
• Build relationships with key decision makers and industry stakeholders.
• Secure opportunities to be included on tender lists and approved contractor frameworks.
• Research and identify upcoming projects and potential clients.
• Work closely with senior management to develop and implement growth strategies.
• Attend client meetings, networking events and industry functions.
• Support the development of business development plans and lead-generation strategies.
• Maintain a strong pipeline of potential opportunities.
• Monitor market trends and identify areas for future growth.

About You

• Proven experience in a Business Development, Sales or Client Relationship role.
• Strong understanding of business development and lead generation.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Confident engaging with clients and senior decision makers.
• Strong ability to build and maintain long-term relationships.
• Self-motivated, proactive and commercially minded.
• Construction, civil engineering or related industry experience is highly advantageous.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
