Job Description:

Our client, a global manufacturer of electronic and electrical components, are looking for a Business Development Manager - EV / E-Mobility - China to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is a strategic and commercially focused role responsible for driving growth across the rapidly expanding EV and e-mobility markets in China and the wider APAC region. The position will focus on developing new business, building strategic customer relationships and driving the design-in of technical electronic components across the EV ecosystem.

Key responsibilities of the Business Development Manager - EV / E-Mobility - China job:

• Define and execute business development and go-to-market strategies across EV and e-mobility applications in China and APAC.
• Drive design-in and specification of electronic components across EVs, charging infrastructure and power electronics.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, charging companies and technology businesses.
• Build relationships with engineering, procurement and commercial stakeholders to secure product specification at PCB, subsystem and system level.
• Take ownership of revenue growth and market development across the assigned segment.
• Analyse market trends, emerging technologies and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.
• Translate customer and market insights into recommendations for new products and application-specific roadmaps.
• Develop long-term relationships with strategic customers and technology partners across China and APAC.
• Work closely with Sales, Product Management, R&D and Marketing teams to develop opportunities through to design-in and commercialisation.
• Represent the business at relevant EV, e-mobility and electronics events and provide regular market intelligence.

Experience required for the Business Development Manager - EV / E-Mobility - China job:

• Several years' experience in Business Development, Sales, Product Management or Strategic Account Management within electronics, electrical, semiconductor or related technology sectors.
• Proven experience developing business within China and/or APAC.
• Strong understanding of the EV, e-mobility, automotive electronics or EV charging ecosystem.
• Experience selling technical electronic components or solutions into OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers or industrial technology customers.
• Experience with design-in or specification-led sales, ideally engaging engineering and technical decision-makers.
• Existing network and knowledge of the China/APAC EV market would be highly advantageous.
• Proven track record of developing new business, growing strategic accounts and delivering revenue growth.
• Strong technical and commercial communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with international Sales, R&D, Product Management and Marketing teams.
