Our client specialises in FIBC and bulk packaging solutions, supplying customers across a range of Chemical, Food, Building Merchants / industrial sectors with standard and bespoke packaging requirements.

Our client is looking to appoint an ambitious Business Development Manager to take responsibility for developing new business opportunities across the UK. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys prospecting, opening doors, developing relationships and ultimately converting opportunities into long-term customers.

Previous experience within FIBC, bulk bags, industrial packaging or a related sector would be highly advantageous However, our client is open to considering sales professionals from other industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and target new business opportunities across the UK.
• Develop and manage a strong pipeline of prospective customers.
• Generate new leads through proactive prospecting, networking, referrals and market research.
• Arrange and conduct customer meetings and site visits.
• Develop relationships with key decision-makers and commercial contacts.
• Understand customer requirements and identify appropriate packaging solutions.
• Present and sell the company's product portfolio.
• Build long-term relationships with newly acquired customers to maximise future opportunities.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met effectively.

The Products:

The company provides a broad range of industrial bulk packaging solutions, with a particular focus on FIBC bulk bags.

The portfolio includes standard industrial FIBCs, builder bags, baffle bags, bags with filling and discharge options, food-grade and UN-certified solutions, as well as bespoke products incorporating different specifications, lifting configurations, dimensions, coatings and printing.

This means the successful candidate will have the opportunity to sell into a broad range of industries rather than being restricted to one particular market.
