Job Description:

Varang Healthcare is looking for an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager to lead business growth across the South of England.

This is a senior commercial role focused on winning new business, developing long-term client relationships and expanding our presence within the healthcare recruitment and staffing market.

You will engage with care homes, nursing homes and other healthcare providers, understand their workforce challenges and provide responsive and reliable staffing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

As our Business Development Manager, you will:

• Identify and secure new business opportunities across the South of England. Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, referrals and lead generation.

• Make outbound calls, engage prospective clients and arrange face-to-face meetings.Develop strong relationships with senior decision-makers and key stakeholders.

• Understand clients’ staffing requirements and present appropriate workforce solutions. Manage the complete business development cycle from initial contact through negotiation, agreement and mobilisation.

• Grow existing accounts by identifying additional opportunities and strengthening client relationships. Work closely with recruitment and operational teams to ensure successful mobilisation and excellent ongoing service.

• Monitor market activity, competitors and emerging opportunities within healthcare staffing.Maintain accurate CRM/database records of leads, calls, meetings and commercial activity.

• Prepare reports and use data to monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Work towards agreed sales targets and KPIs.

• Represent Varang Healthcare professionally and act as an ambassador for our values and standards.

What We’re Looking For

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• At least 3 years’ experience within a recruitment agency environment, preferably healthcare, social care, nursing or another staffing sector.

• Minimum 2 years’ people management experience, with experience coaching, developing and managing performance.

• A proven track record of winning new business and achieving commercial targets. Experience managing the full recruitment sales/business development cycle.

• Strong prospecting and cold-calling skills with the confidence to approach new clients. The ability to develop credible relationships with senior decision-makers.

• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook/email and CRM/database systems. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage an active sales pipeline.

• A data-driven approach to measuring and improving performance. Resilience, energy and the ability to succeed in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for client meetings across the region.
