Business Development Manager - Apprenticeships
Location: Leeds
Working pattern: Hybrid - 4 days per week in the office
Salary: £30,000-£35,000 basic + £15,000-£17,500 OTE
Contract: Permanent, full-time - 37.5 hours per week
 
FIND is recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join a growing national training provider specialising in apprenticeships, digital, IT and HR training.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious sales professional with experience in the apprenticeship sector to join a business that supports employers with high-quality training solutions and helps learners develop the skills they need to progress in their careers.
 
The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new apprenticeship opportunities, developing strong relationships with employers and identifying opportunities to cross-sell a wider range of training solutions.
 
The Role
As Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving apprenticeship growth by building and developing relationships with both new and existing B2B clients.
 
Your responsibilities will include:

• Generating apprenticeship learner starts through proactive business development and sales activity
• Prospecting and engaging new employers, including outbound telephone activity
• Building and managing long-term relationships with new and existing clients
• Achieving agreed activity, revenue and apprenticeship start targets
• Identifying opportunities to cross-sell additional training and development solutions
• Understanding employer workforce and skills needs and matching them with suitable programmes
• Supporting employers through the apprenticeship eligibility, onboarding and compliance process
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client and activity information on the CRM
• Delivering an excellent level of customer service throughout the employer journey
• Working closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from sale through to programme delivery

What We're Looking For
We are keen to speak with candidates who have:

• At least 2 years' experience in sales, business development or account management
• Previous experience working within the apprenticeship or training provider sector
• A proven track record of working with B2B clients
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
• Confidence and resilience when prospecting and engaging employers over the phone
• Experience managing both new business and existing client relationships
• A genuine passion for sales and achieving results
• A strong customer-focused approach
• Excellent organisation and CRM management skills
