Trusted by top-tier, mid-tier, and boutique law firms, providing sophisticated digital tools and managed services that help legal professionals solve complex data, litigation, and transactional challenges. They continue to expand their footprint in the UK legal sector, seeking an ambitious, consultative sales professional to accelerate our commercial growth.

Purpose of position

As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will drive revenue growth by identifying, securing, and nurturing strategic relationships across the UK legal sector. This role is ideal for a proven consultative seller who combines commercial drive with high credibility in the legal industry, and who thrives on building trusted, long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

• New Business Generation: Identify, qualify, and convert new revenue opportunities across law firms and corporate legal departments.
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain high-level relationships with Partners, Senior Associates, IT/Innovation leaders, and Practice Managers.
• Full Sales Cycle Ownership: Manage the entire sales lifecycle—from pipeline development and technical scoping to commercial negotiation and contract close—to consistently meet or exceed revenue targets.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal Marketing, Operations, and Client Success teams to deliver a seamless client onboarding experience.
• Solution Articulation: Masterfully present a comprehensive suite of eDiscovery, SaaS, and legal tech offerings, tailoring solutions to each client's specific litigation lifecycle and data challenges.
• Market Intelligence: Gather and share ongoing market feedback to help shape internal product development and strategic growth initiatives.

Essential Requirements

• 5+ years of B2B sales experience explicitly selling into the UK legal market (e.g., legal tech, SaaS, eDiscovery, or workflow automation).
• A proven, consistent track record of achieving or exceeding annual sales targets.
• Deep understanding of UK litigation/disputes processes and law firm commercial business models.
• A consultative, relationship-led sales approach that prioritises client outcomes over transactional wins.
• Excellent communication, executive presentation, and commercial negotiation skills.
• A self-motivated mindset, with the ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Nice to have (not essential)

• An established, active network of contacts across the UK legal sector.
• Experience introducing emerging technologies (such as AI, advanced analytics, and workflow automation) to new client segments.
• A strong understanding of transactional, subscription-based, and managed service commercial models.
• Knowledge of UK government or public sector frameworks.
