We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager to join a leading biotech company based in the biotech and biopharmaceutical sector. This is an exciting opportunity for a scientific professional with a passion for business growth within cutting-edge fields such as immuno-oncology, animal model gene engineering, and preclinical pharmacology. As part of this dynamic team, you will be instrumental in exploring new business opportunities, engaging with prospective clients, and supporting the company’s branding and market awareness initiatives. This role provides a unique chance to combine scientific knowledge with strategic sales and marketing. This is a field based role supporting opportunities across London & Cambridge.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your duties as the Business Development Manager will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

• Develop and demonstrate expertise in the science and business aspects of immuno-oncology, animal model gene engineering, and related fields.
• Proactively identify and engage prospective customers, manage negotiations, and secure new contracts to generate revenue.
• Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and relevant events to network and promote the company’s services and products.
• Support the Marketing Team in enhancing the company's branding and visibility in the marketplace.
• As the Business Development Manager, you will support the company’s growth objectives through strategic outreach and relationship building.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Business Development Manager, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

• A Degree or higher level in a bioscience field (e.g., Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences).
• Proven interest in and willingness to learn advances in biopharmaceutical science and business.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with an ability to network effectively with top scientists and industry professionals.
• Willingness to travel for customer meetings, conferences, and vendor shows.
