About the Company

If you hold a position as a Business Development Manager or a Senior Sales professional within precision engineering or manufacturing, we are looking for someone like you to join an established engineering company specialising in the manufacture of high-quality precision-machined components.

With experience across automotive, oil and gas, FMCG and other manufacturing sectors, the company is now looking to expand its customer base and develop new opportunities within the aerospace market.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of new business development, with the freedom to build your own customer relationships and play a key role in expanding into the aerospace sector. You'll have the backing of an experienced engineering team, allowing you to focus on opening doors, developing opportunities and securing profitable contracts.

We are particularly interested in someone who understands the costing of machined components and can bring valuable industry knowledge and contacts to help develop new customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new subcontract manufacturing opportunities, particularly within the aerospace sector.
• Generate new business through proactive sales activity, networking and customer visits.
• Build relationships with manufacturers, procurement teams and key decision-makers.
• Review customer requirements, engineering drawings and component costs to identify commercially viable opportunities.
• Work alongside internal engineering teams to prepare competitive quotations and proposals.
• Negotiate contracts and convert enquiries into profitable business.
• Develop existing customer accounts and identify opportunities for further growth.
• Manage your own sales pipeline, customer meetings and business development activity.
