Business Development Manager - Technical Sales

Location: Home-based, with national travel. Ideally located in or around Milton Keynes, Northampton, Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester, Nottingham, Derby, Luton, Watford, Hemel Hempstead, St Albans or Stevenage.

Salary: Up to £50,000 basic + uncapped commission
Contract: Permanent, full-time

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a national sales territory, manage your own diary and develop valuable customer relationships across a variety of commercial, automotive and industrial sectors.

You'll be supported by experienced technical and internal teams, while having the freedom to identify opportunities, develop accounts and build your own sales pipeline.

Your opportunity

You'll be trusted to develop your territory and create a strong balance of new business and account growth.

You will:

• Identify and win new business opportunities
• Develop existing accounts and increase their value
• Meet customers and understand their operational challenges
• Promote vehicle safety and vision systems
• Deliver engaging product demonstrations
• Recommend tailored technical solutions
• Build long-term customer relationships that generate repeat business
• Manage your own diary, sales pipeline and CRM activity
• Work closely with internal teams to provide the right solution for each customer

You'll need a proven track record in B2B field sales and business development, ideally selling technical products or solutions into one or more of the following sectors:

• Quarrying or mining
• Plant machinery or construction equipment
• Materials handling
• HGV and commercial vehicle fleets
• Passenger vehicle fleets
• Bus and coach
• Automotive aftermarket
• Commercial automotive products
• Industrial or off-highway equipment

You'll be commercially driven, confident developing new business and skilled at building lasting customer relationships.

This is a home-based role involving regular customer visits and national travel. You should therefore be comfortable managing a large geographical territory and hold a full UK driving licence.
