This is a senior commercial position with genuine autonomy to develop new business across the UK, targeting logistics sector organisations that can benefit from outsourced business solutions. Your responsibilities as Business Development Manager

• Develop and deliver a strategic UK new business plan focused on outsourced business solutions to the logistics sector
• Build and manage relationships with senior decision-makers across the logistics sector and wider commercial markets
• Generate opportunities through networking, referrals, LinkedIn, industry events and targeted business development activity
• Lead consultative meetings, prepare tailored commercial proposals and negotiate contracts valued at £50,000+
• Build long-term client partnerships through exceptional account management, including hospitality and relationship-building activities where appropriate
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, CRM records and commercial forecasts while working closely with operational teams to ensure successful onboarding

 

What we're looking for in a Business Development Manager

• Proven success selling outsourced business solutions through complex B2B sales cycles
• Strong understanding of the logistics sector with an established portfolio of commercial contacts
• Demonstrable ability to win and negotiate high-value commercial contracts with senior stakeholders
• Experience presenting commercially focused solutions to Director and C-suite level decision-makers
• Strong commercial negotiation, proposal development and CRM management skills

 

Working Hours
Full-time, Monday to Friday with regular travel throughout the UK and flexibility to attend client meeting and networking events.
