Location: UK / Hybrid & Customer-Facing
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 DOE (Uncapped Commission)
Job Type: Permanent

We are working with an established and growing packaging manufacturer that is looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business growth across the UK.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional with a proven background in cartons and folding cartons, who enjoys hunting for new business, developing relationships and winning high-value accounts.

The successful candidate will have experience selling into sectors such as cosmetics, drinks/beverages and pharmaceuticals, with the technical and commercial understanding to provide packaging solutions that meet demanding customer requirements.

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across the UK.
• Target and win new customers within the cartons/folding cartons market.
• Develop strong relationships with procurement, commercial, technical and senior decision-makers.
• Manage the full 360° sales process, from prospecting through to negotiation and account development.
• Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline and consistently deliver against revenue targets.
• Develop opportunities within the cosmetics, drinks and pharmaceutical sectors.
• Understand customer packaging requirements and work with internal teams to develop appropriate solutions.
• Prepare quotations, proposals and commercial presentations.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial agreements to maximise profitable growth.
• Attend customer meetings, exhibitions and industry events.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular sales forecasts.

• Proven experience in cartons, folding cartons or a closely related packaging environment.
• A strong track record of new business development and account acquisition.
• Experience selling into cosmetics, drinks/beverages and/or pharmaceutical markets.
• Excellent understanding of B2B packaging sales and commercial negotiations.
• Experience managing a 360° sales cycle.
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Commercially driven, proactive and target-focused approach.
• Ability to build relationships at all levels, from operational contacts through to senior management.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customers nationally.

• £45,000 - £55,000 basic salary, depending on experience.
