The business has continued to invest in its people, services and customer offering and is now looking to strengthen its commercial team as part of an exciting period of growth.

Business Development Manager

Manchester

Salary - £40,000 - £50,000 DOE + £5,000 - £15,000 OTE +

Hybrid/Electric Car or £400 car allowance, plus Life Insurance, 5% Pension Contribution, Company Credit Card, Laptop & Mobile Phone

This is a newly created role and represents a genuine investment into the continued growth of the business. They are looking for a high performing Business Development Manager who thrives on winning new business, opening new accounts and developing long-term commercial relationships.

The Role

• Drive new business across the UK also dependent on location.
• Achieve a new business target of around £250,000
• Target local businesses with a typical spend of around £25,000 - £40,000
• Work closely with an experienced marketing team while building your own pipeline through proactive business development
• Build long-term customer relationships and identify opportunities for sustainable growth
• Develop new accounts and become a key point of contact for customers
• Play a key role in an exciting period of expansion, with significant opportunities to make your mark within the business

Requirements

• Proven track record in Business Development, Area Sales or Technical Sales
• A genuine hunter mentality with a passion for winning new business
• Packaging industry experience would be highly desirable, or experience within a similar B2B industry
• Candidates who understand the Food, Industrial, chemical, furniture and other related markets are highly desirable
• Strong commercial awareness with excellent relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated, driven and comfortable managing your own territory
