Business Development Manager – Learning & Training

Internal Sales: £30,000 – £35,000 + Commission
External Sales: £35,000 – £40,000 + Commission

Mon-Fri 08:30 – 17:00pm

Hybrid working available

Offices available that you can work from: Leeds / Manchester / Halifax / London

Are you an experienced B2B sales professional within the training and learning sector?

We are currently recruiting for Business Development Managers to join a growing training provider, with opportunities available across both Internal Sales and External Sales.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a proven track record of selling training courses, learning programmes or apprenticeships to businesses.

The Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for generating new business and selling a range of learning and training solutions to businesses.

Depending on whether you are joining the Internal or External Sales team, your role could include:

• Identifying and developing new B2B opportunities
• Selling training courses and learning programmes to businesses
• Generating new business through outbound calls, email and other sales activity
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients
• Understanding customer requirements and recommending suitable training solutions
• Managing the full sales process from initial contact through to close
• Attending client meetings and developing face-to-face relationships (External Sales)
• Working towards and consistently achieving sales targets
• Managing your pipeline and maximising new business opportunities

What Experience Do You Need?

To be considered for this position, you must have at least 1 year's experience working for a training course provider, apprenticeship provider or similar organisation, with a proven track record of selling B2B training or learning solutions.

Your experience could be within a variety of training sectors, including:

• IT & Technology
• Management & Leadership
• Construction
• Cloud
• AI
• Engineering
• Professional Development
• Apprenticeships
• Or another B2B training/learning environment

We are particularly interested in speaking with sales professionals who are confident in generating new business, winning clients and consistently hitting sales targets.
