Job Title: CAD Design Engineer
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience)

A well-established fabrication and engineering business specialising in high-quality entertainment-based solutions, supporting projects across events, venues, and bespoke installations. Known for precision, reliability, and a hands-on approach to delivery, the company is continuing to grow its design capability.

As a CAD Design Engineer, you will play a key role in transforming client concepts into accurate, manufacturable designs. Working closely with production and project teams, you'll ensure drawings are practical, efficient, and aligned with real-world installation requirements.

• Produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for fabrication and installation projects
• Interpret client briefs, technical specifications, and site measurements
• Liaise with workshop and installation teams to ensure designs are buildable
• Amend and update drawings based on feedback and project changes
• Support projects from concept through to manufacture and install
• Maintain drawing standards and technical documentation

• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Desirable experience with Autodesk Inventor
• Background working within a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Good communication skills and a collaborative approach
