Job Description:

We’re looking for a caretaker to start from the start of September with a Secondary school in Lewisham, this is initially a 3 month contract but the school are looking to take a successful candidate on a permanent basis is successful.

Job Purpose

To carry out the daily maintenance of the site and grounds and be the first point of contact for health & safety, security and cleaning making sure standards are met.

To provide access to the site and monitor and report on the performance of contractors supplying goods and carrying out services at the school.

Some Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Be the main key holder within school staff, open the building each morning.
• Complete a site walk every morning making sure the site is clean and safe for the pupils.
• Day to day repairs and maintenance of the site.
• Monitor premises for hazards, taking corrective action or report concerns to the Federation Head of Operation and strategy.
• First point of contact for any premises related issues during the school day.
• Support all school works
• Management of waste/ refuse on site, taking rubbish sacks and recycled materials to the appropriate bins daily.

Monday to Friday (phone number removed) with some overtime required.

MUST HAVE DBS ON UPDATE SERVICE
