The role As Registered Manager – Children’s Home (EBD), Meridian Business Support are recruiting on behalf of an established care provider expanding into children’s residential services. This is a newly refurbished, Ofsted-ready home where you will shape the service, culture, and team from the ground up.
In this Registered Manager – Children’s Home (EBD) position, you will:- Oversee the day-to-day running of a two-bed EBD home, ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations
- Lead on registration, policies, procedures, and inspection readiness
- Build, develop, and manage a stable, high-performing care team
- Deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes for young people with emotional and behavioural needs
- Ensure safeguarding is embedded in all practices and standards remain “Good” or “Outstanding”
- Develop strong relationships with local authorities, families, and external professionals
Skills and experience To succeed as a Registered Manager – Children’s Home (EBD), you’ll need:- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Children and Young People’s Services)
- Proven experience managing or setting up EBD or similar residential settings
- Strong understanding of Ofsted frameworks, compliance, and inspections
- Confident leadership skills with the ability to build teams and work autonomously
