Senior Therapeutic Support Worker

Market Drayton, Newport or Whitchurch, Shropshire
Working Pattern: 173 hours per month + sleep-ins
Shift Pattern: 07:30 – 23:00 (approx.) | Rolling 2 on, 4 off
Salary: £30,360 – £32,906
Sleep-in Rate: £65 per night

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team as a Senior Therapeutic Support Worker. You’ll play a key role in providing therapeutic and nurturing support to young people, helping them to maximise their opportunities and achieve positive outcomes.

The service provides residential care, education, and therapeutic support to children and young people aged 11–18 who have experienced, or are at risk of, exploitation.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Delivering high-quality, therapeutic care within a residential setting
• Supporting the emotional, social, and educational development of young people
• Acting as a positive role model and leading by example within the team
• Working closely with the Registered Manager to maintain high standards of care
• Supporting day-to-day household tasks (cooking, cleaning, activities, transport)
• Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children at all times

What We’re Looking For

• Level 3 QCF Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) –essential
• Experience working with children with complex needs in a residential setting
• Ability to manage and respond to challenging behaviours
• Confidence in leading shifts and supporting team members
• Full UK driving licence
