Job Role: Site Manager - Civil engineering on housing sites

Pay: £300-320 per day

Duration: 12 months minimum

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Civils Site Manager to oversee and coordinate civil engineering projects on a residential housing site. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site operations, ensuring safety standards are maintained, and delivering projects on time and within budget. Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all civil site activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth communication and workflow.
• Manage site resources, including labour, equipment, and materials, optimising utilisation for efficiency.
• Oversee health and safety compliance across the site, conducting regular inspections and risk assessments.
• Monitor project budgets and timelines, proactively addressing any issues that could impact delivery.
• Prepare progress reports and documentation for stakeholders, ensuring transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
• Supervise a team of site personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations as necessary.

Experience

• Proven management experience in civil engineering or construction projects of varying scales.
• Supervising experience on large-scale civil sites is essential.
• Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure project standards are maintained.
• Knowledge of current health and safety legislation relevant to civil engineering works.
