Job Description:

Ideal Recruit is currently looking for experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for a well-established client based in Bedford.

This is a full time opportunity with guaranteed shifts and consistent work.

Job details:

• Nationwide store deliveries across the UK.
• Average of 3–4 drops per shift (palletised goods – loading and unloading required)
• Experience with refrigerated units preferred.

We have both Permanent and long term agency positions available, on the following shift patterns:

• PERMANENT OR AGENCY - 4 ON, 4 OFF TRAMPING (Start Window between 01:00-02:00 OR 11:00-12:00)
• PERMANENT OR AGENCY - Sun-Thu, Tue-Sat or Thu/Fri-Mon (2 hour start window between 01:00-18:00)

Permanent Pay Rates:

• Monday-Friday £18.69ph
• Weekend £21.31ph
• Plus £10.00 tax free meal allowance per day
• £26.20 night out allowance

Agency Pay Rates:

• Monday to Friday: £19.61ph (or £21.98 inc holiday)
• Saturday and Sunday: £22.31ph (or £25.00 inc holiday)
• £26.20 night out allowance

Requirements:

• Assessment required before starting.
• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Minimum 12 months of experience as a Class 1 driver.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor endorsements only).
