Job Description:

Job Title: HGV Class 1 Driver (C+E) - Store deliveries and cage work in predominantly double deck trailers
Location: Burton on Trent
Pay Rate: £18.04 to £19.79 p/h (static clock)
Shifts: Guaranteed 8 hours pay per shift - Sunday to Thursday (Days + Nights)
Driver Type: Class 1 (C+E)
Experience: 2 years Class 1 experience required

Join a well-established operation with consistent work, modern vehicles and immediate starts available. Initial routes will be completed with established drivers, to help you understand the finer details of the role.

The Role
As a professional HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties may include:

• Deliveries are primarily caged deliveries to Hobbycraft stores
  • There may be the occasional pallet, but the vast majority of the work is cage-based
• Drivers are responsible for:
  • Delivering cages into the store
  • Returning salvage
  • Managing the delivery paperwork/process correctly
  • Both day and night drivers will physically handle the cage deliveries
  • Night Deliveries – Airlock Process

What We're Looking For
To be considered for this role, you'll need:

• A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
• At least 2 years' commercial Class 1 driving experience
• A valid Driver CPC qualification (DCPC)
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• A professional attitude with a strong commitment to safety and customer service

Our client may accept up to 6 penalty points. Unfortunately, applications with DD, DR, CD, IN or TT endorsements cannot be accepted.
