Job Description:

Class 1 HGV Driver 

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Class 1 HGV Driver to join our team, based from Kettering, on a full-time tramping position.
The role is varied, with most of the work involving straw haulage to power stations, mills and farms, alongside other general haulage work.
The Role
•    Predominantly transporting straw to power stations, mills and farms
•    Flatbed work, including steel, concrete, timber, and other general loads
•    Container work from all UK ports
•    Occasional bulk tipper work
•    Ensuring all loads are correctly and safely secured
•    Completing daily vehicle checks and relevant paperwork
•    Maintaining compliance with drivers’ hours and working time regulations
•    Representing the company professionally at customer and delivery sites
Requirements
•    Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
•    Full Driver CPC required
•    Valid Digital Tachograph Card
•    Previous Class 1 driving experience
•    Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and load security
•    Reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious
•    Comfortable working away from home 4 nights per week
•    Able to work independently and as part of a team
Experience with straw, flatbed, container or bulk tipper work would be advantageous.
