Job Description:

Delta Personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 Shunter Driver to start immediately working Monday to Friday - 1pm to 10pm.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and safety-focused driver looking for regular work in a busy manufacturing environment.

The Role:

• Shunting trailers and vehicles around the site safely and efficiently
• Manoeuvring vehicles into loading and parking bays
• Coupling and uncoupling trailers
• Carrying out vehicle safety checks
• Working closely with the transport and warehouse teams
• Following all site, road safety and health & safety procedures
• Keeping the yard organised and ensuring vehicles are positioned correctly
• Working to strict schedules and operational deadlines

Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence
• Previous shunting/yard experience preferred
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Good understanding of vehicle safety and site procedures
• Excellent reversing and manoeuvring skills
• Reliable, punctual and professional attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
