CNC Machinist

Double Day Shift or Permanent Nights

Salary:
£35,980 per annum Double Days

£37,895 per annum Nights

Key Responsibilities of a CNC Machinist:

• Setting and operating CNC milling or turning machines to manufacture precision components
• Working from detailed engineering drawings and specifications
• Carrying out tool changes, offsets and basic programme edits where required
• Inspecting components using micrometers, verniers and other measuring equipment
• Ensuring components are manufactured to required tolerances and quality standards
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Working closely with production and quality teams to meet production targets
• Supporting continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives

Key Skills of a CNC Machinist:

• Previous experience as a CNC Machinist, CNC Setter/Operator or similar
• Experience with CNC milling or turning machinery
• Knowledge of Fanuc, Mazak or similar controls would be advantageous
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Flexible and reliable with the ability to work a double day shift pattern
