The Opportunity

As a Commercial Catering Equipment Service Technician, you'll visit customer sites to diagnose faults, carry out repairs and preventative maintenance, and ensure commercial catering equipment is operating safely and efficiently.

You'll work across a diverse range of equipment and environments, giving you the opportunity to continually develop your technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.

Your day may include:

• Diagnosing and repairing commercial catering equipment
• Electrical, mechanical and gas fault finding
• Preventative and planned maintenance
• Equipment installation and commissioning
• Testing and calibration
• Identifying parts and repair requirements
• Providing technical support to customers
• Completing electronic service reports and job documentation
• Managing your vehicle, tools and equipment

Work With Leading Equipment Brands

You'll have the opportunity to work across equipment from manufacturers such as:

Rational | Hobart | Winterhalter | Electrolux Professional | Blue Seal | Moffat | Falcon | Lincat | Merrychef | Convotherm | Unox | Washtech

Experience across cooking and warewashing equipment is particularly valuable.

What We're Looking For

We're interested in hearing from technicians who have:

• Commercial catering equipment service and repair experience
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills
• Experience with gas and electrically heated catering equipment
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Experience diagnosing faults independently
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals
• Mobile or field-service experience
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• A current driver’s licence or ability to obtain an Australian licence

Qualifications

Relevant electrical, gas, mechanical or commercial catering qualifications are highly regarded.

For international applicants, qualifications such as CCCN1, COMCAT or equivalent commercial catering, electrical, gas or mechanical qualifications are welcomed.

You don't need to hold every qualification to apply. We will also consider relevant industry experience, practical skills and technical capability.
