Job Description:

CNX Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and highly respected construction business to recruit an experienced Estimator. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to join a dynamic team, contributing to a strong pipeline of diverse and high-quality projects across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects
• Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labour estimates
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotations and ensure best value
• Identify and evaluate project risks and opportunities
• Collaborate with internal teams including project managers and commercial staff
• Maintain and update cost databases and estimating tools
• Support tender submissions and post-tender negotiations

Requirements

• Proven experience in an estimating role within the construction industry
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines effectively
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office
• Strong communication and negotiation skills

Desirable

• Relevant degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar
• Experience working on commercial, residential, or mixed-use projects
