Contracts Manager – Fire Protection

Location: East Anglia / Suffolk
Salary: £50,000 - £80,000+ DOE

Anglian Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established specialist contractor for an experienced Contracts Manager to join their growing team on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will primarily oversee fire protection projects, working closely with clients, main contractors, site teams and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager, Project Manager or Senior Site Manager with a background in fire protection, passive fire, fire stopping or construction.

The Role

As Contracts Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple projects, from mobilisation through to completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing multiple fire protection contracts and projects
• Coordinating site teams, subcontractors, labour and materials
• Managing project programmes and ensuring deadlines are achieved
• Monitoring project costs, budgets and profitability
• Managing variations, valuations and project documentation
• Attending client and site meetings
• Maintaining strong relationships with clients and main contractors
• Carrying out regular site visits
• Ensuring works are completed to the required quality and compliance standards
• Identifying and resolving project issues
• Managing health & safety and contractual requirements
• Reporting project progress to senior management
• Supporting the continued growth of the fire protection division

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Contracts Manager / Project Manager within construction, ideally with experience in fire protection or passive fire.

You should have:

• Proven experience managing construction contracts/projects
• Experience within fire protection, passive fire, fire stopping or a related construction discipline
• Strong commercial awareness
• Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
• Excellent communication and client management skills
• Strong organisational and planning abilities
• Good knowledge of health & safety requirements
• The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• A full UK driving licence
