Job Description:

Corporate Finance Manager

Flexible on rate - Open to suggestions 

6 months

The first couple of weeks will need to be on site in Rugby probably for at least 4 days each week – so that they can understand what is going and to meet all the relevant people After that it will need to be on site presence of 2 or 3 days – depending on business need, they may need to attend meetings throughout the County – and must be prepared to accommodate this

Must be a fully Qualified Accountant and member of one of the appropriate bodies

Essential Requirements

Must be a fully qualified accountant and be basically, a hands-on technical accountant that will also have all the responsibility for all corporate finance items

Must be able to produce statement of accounts and be hands on - no managing people who do it

Must have sufficient and recent experience in District and Borough Councils

This is not a ‘just manage’ – it’s very many hands on Including responsibility for and possibly doing:

- o Production of the statement of accounts

o External Audit

o VAT

o CIS returns

o Fixed Asset Register

o Accounts Payable

o Treasury Management and Banking

o Cash Flow

o Delta returns

o WGA o Anything and everything else that needs doing
